Couples Therapy
Couples therapy is an opportunity to improve your relationship by addressing the cycles of interaction that seem to keep you and your partner in states of distress. Ongoing conflict, feelings of isolation and disconnection, loss of hope. When these dynamics are present in a relationship it can affect all the other aspects of your life. I use a developmental approach to couples counseling which looks at how patterns in the relationship are related to one’s own opportunities for personal growth and integrates themes from Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method. My focus is to improve communication and conflict resolution so that you can cultivate healthy connection, compassion for each other, and ultimately have a joyful and meaningful relationship.
