Group Therapy
I am passionate about groups and I have facilitated many different types of groups over the last 15 years. I find group therapy to be one of the most powerful venues for creating lasting change. To witness and be witnessed by others who struggle with similar challenges can foster ever deepening connections and provide a safe container for learning. Empowering people to express and manifest new parts of themselves.
In Men’s Groups, I have focused on addressing issues related to masculinity and the socialization of men in our culture. In Mindfulness Processing Groups, I have led adults and teens in development of mindfulness practices and their utilization in developing self awareness and acceptance, often to the benefit of important relationships and life tasks. In Sex and Porn Addiction Groups, I have helped people with compulsive sex and porn use to establish and maintain recovery while also healing damaged relationships and improving self worth. In Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) groups I have taught skills essential to self regulation and engaging in relationships effectively. It has been amazing for me to experience the power that all of these different types of therapy groups can have in the healing process and self -discovery.
